A complete sawmill retrofit would include Auto Rotation and Primary Breakdown Scanning and Optimization. Given space requirements, a minimal layout would require the following: The system would need room for the Auto Rotation Scanning System to permit logs loaded onto the conveyor to settle down prior to entering the rotation scanning system. The distance between the Rotation Scanner and the log turner should not be less than the maximum log length plus any time required by the PLC and hydraulics to engage. The Rotation Optimizer solves rotation solutions in typically less than 10ms. |
