Tree-D has developed an easy to use, Microsoft Windows™-based, optimizer parameter control interface which permits users to create and manage sawmill parameter configurations and also provides shift reporting and simulation abilities. The system also includes a historical database which can be used to perform sophisticated analyses of production information.

The Winsim™ software suite uses an industry standard SQL database to maintain user parameters and historical production data. The system is typically supplied to augment a Tree-D Optimization System. The system interfaces to the Tree-D Real-Time Control System using Ethernet on a private network. A second Ethernet network is optionally available to connect the system to a corporate internal network and can thus make the data in the system available to others on the company network via standard ODBC services. Thus, production history can be accessed using familiar products such as MS Excel™, MS Access™, or other analytical or reporting programs.
